Energy audit

An energy survey of enterprises and organizations involves an assessment of all aspects of the enterprise’s activities that are related to the costs of fuel, energy of various types, water and some energy sources.

Description

Recently, an energy audit is understood as the energy efficiency of buildings (are the walls well insulated, do windows not “siphon”, do not have heat or cold leaks). This is done by construction companies, which can later eliminate these problems by installing new windows or carrying out facade insulation. In no case does our company say that this is not necessary. Any losses are lost money that is hard earned in our country.

But, we would like to concentrate on an equally important problem - it is electrical losses. So historically, we had very cheap electricity and saving it was economically unprofitable J But times are changing and the cost of kWh (kilowatt-hour) is constantly increasing. Energy-consuming enterprises have taken care that the share of payment for electricity in the cost of production is steadily increasing and in some cases because of this, the cost of production becomes noncompetitive in the market. Of course, it is clear that there are new technologies that significantly reduce electricity consumption during production (for example, obtaining aluminum from bauxite not by standard methods, but using microwave, which in turn reduces power consumption by several times, which in turn has a very significant effect on aluminum production costs), but any new technologies are huge costs, and with our credit system and the support of manufacturers, the company practically does not appear to re-equip the enterprise possible. Based on the above, our company has focused on obtaining the effect of saving "little blood".

First of all, you need to understand that the use of old oil transformers is already a loss. And depending on whose balance these transformers are on, either the consumer or the energy company pays (in fact, the consumer is still). Further problems arise due to incorrect distribution of loads across phases, insufficient quality of electricity in networks, asymmetry of phase voltages, etc. Not all indicators can be measured with a simple voltmeter; for this, there are specialized measuring systems for network quality. And one of our main tasks is to conduct a full and high-quality diagnosis of electricity indicators in the enterprise network, because with the help of qualitative diagnostics, you can make the correct diagnosis, and with the correct diagnosis, prescribe the right treatment.

Not all managers of the company understand that, due to some parameters of the electrical network, there is an increase in indirect production costs. So because of the change in the phase angle by 1-2 degrees (there should be a deviation between the phases of 120 degrees), there is a significant increased wear of the bearings of the electric motors and compressor equipment, as well as deterioration of efficiency. Due to the appearance of higher harmonics in the network affecting the distortion of the shape of the sinusoid, the network’s non-sinusoidal appearance occurs, which leads to an error in the metering units (the meter can count 9.47% more than the actual cost of electricity).

In addition, due to the weakening of the contacts of the current-carrying elements, there is an increased heat dissipation, which in the best case simply spends electricity, and in the worst case leads to fires. There are many network elements that can cause or contribute to electric losses, and the main task of energy audit is to find and eliminate them. To obtain all the characteristics of the network, we use the professional measuring complexes Fluke (USA) and Chauvin Arnoux (France). In addition, using a thermal imager to identify points of excessive heating of current-carrying elements. After receiving the “photo” of the network, a conclusion is made and a package of optimization measures is proposed. Understanding the situation in the country and the mentality of our entrepreneurs, we try not to offer options with a payback period of more than 1.5 years.

Together we make your power grid efficient!
